NOTICE: We are continuing to post more present truth studies, both old and new, so please visit us again soon.

What's New?
That everyone who thirsteth for the truth may obtain it, these publications are, as a Christian service, provided without charge. They levy but one exaction: the soul's obligation to itself to prove all things and hold fast to that which is good. The only strings attached to this free proffer are the golden strands of Eden and the crimson cords of Calvary - the ties that bind.

The Urgent Need of the Church

Yes, dear Brethren, the hour is late, as you well know, and it is time for a REVIVAL and a REFORMATION.

"A REVIVAL AND A REFORMATION MUST TAKE PLACE UNDER THE MINISTRATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. REVIVAL AND REFORMATION ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS." E.G. White, Review and Herald, Feb. 25, 1902.

REVIVAL      "Revival signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind and heart, a resurrection from spiritual death." Ibid.

"...God had a message for the church that was sacred and important. If received, it would make a thorough reformation in the church, REVIVE THE LIVING TESTIMONY that would purge out hypocrites and sinners..." Early Writings, p. 228.

"I was shown that the pointed TESTIMONY (Spirit of Prophecy) MUST LIVE IN THE CHURCH. This ALONE will answer to the message to the Laodiceans." Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 3, p. 260.

"I have been shown that the Lord IS REVIVING the LIVING pointed testimony, which will develop character and purify the church (reformation)." Testimonies, Vol. 1, p. 216

CLEARLY, THEN, BRETHREN, THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY MUST BE REVIVED IF THE CHURCH IS EVER TO BE REFORMED!

REFORMATION  "Reformation signifies a REORGANIZATION, a CHANGE in IDEAS and THEORIES, HABITS and PRACTICES.

"Reformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the REVIVAL OF THE SPIRIT."
E.G. White, Review and Herald, Feb. 25, 1902.

ARE WE READY TO MAKE THIS GREAT "CHANGE"?

CHANGE in IDEAS and THEORIES ---

"There is NO EXCUSE for anyone in taking the position that there is no more truth to be revealed, and that all our expositions of Scripture are without error. The fact that certain doctrines have been held as truth for many years by our people, is not a proof that our IDEAS are infallible. Age will not make error into truth, and truth can afford to be fair." Counsels to Writers, p. 35.

Brethren, Inspiration declares:

"And it SHALL COME TO PASS in the last days that...out of Zion shall go forth the LAW, and the WORD of the Lord from JERUSALEM." Isa. 2:2, 4.

"If after a time the Lord says, move away from Washington, we must move...however inconvenient and inconsistent such a command may seem..." E.G. White, Review & Herald, Aug. 11, 1903.

"Surely the Lord God will do NOTHING, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." Amos 3:7.

WHY NOT MOVE TO JERUSALEM BEFORE THE SUNDAY LAWS ARE ENFORCED?

"It is not wise (for man) to choose ONE MAN as president of the General Conference." Testimonies to Ministers, p. 342.

"As a people we should study GOD'S PLANS (God Himself chose Moses) for conducting His work." Ibid.

WHY NOT RECOGNIZE THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY IN YOUR MIDST?

CHANGE in HABITS and PRACTICES ---

"Christ said to His disciples...Go...teaching them to OBSERVE ALL things whatsoever I have commanded you...God's people TODAY are not fulfilling this commission as they should." Review & Herald, Feb. 25, 1902.

IN WHAT WAY, DEAR BRETHREN?

-3-

"On the FOURTEENTH DAY OF THE FIRST JEWISH MONTH, the VERY DAY AND MONTH on which for fifteen long centuries the Passover lamb had been slain, CHRIST, having eaten the Passover with His disciples, INSTITUTED THAT FEAST which was to commemorate His own death...the types which relate to the second advent MUST BE FULFILLED at the TIME pointed out in the SYMBOLIC SERVICE (the Levitical Law). Under the Mosaic system..." Great Controversy, p. 399, 400.

DO OUR PRACTICES CORRESPOND WITH JESUS' PRACTICES?

"The GREAT QUESTION of dispute between the church of Asia Minor and the rest of Christendom was whether the Pascal communion should be celebrated on the FOURTEENTH OF NISAN or on the Sunday...The Christians of Asia Minor, appealing to the example of the APOSTLES, John and Philip, and to the UNIFORM PRACTICE of the Church, celebrated the CHRISTIAN PASSOVER ALWAYS on the FOURTEENTH OF NISAN, whatever day of the week that might be...The ROMAN CHURCH, on the OTHER HAND, FOLLOWED BY ALL THE REST OF CHRISTENDOM, celebrated...on Friday, and...Sunday...but the ROMAN PRACTICE gradually PREVAILED over the Asiatic, and finally, at the Council of Nicea, was declared BINDING UPON THE WHOLE CHURCH, while the Asiatic practice (following Jesus' example – Matt. 26:18-20, 26-28; Luke 22:10-20; 1 Cor. 11:23, 24) WAS CONDEMNED...and they were branded as HERETICS." Nicene & Post-Nicene Fathers, 2nd Series, 1:241.

"The NEW LAW has its own spirit, and its own sacrifice, and its own FEASTS (Sunday, Communion on a set day other than 14th day of 1st month) WHICH HAVE TAKEN THE PLACE OF THOSE APPOINTED IN THE LAW OF MOSES. If we would know the DAYS TO BE OBSERVED...we must go to the Catholic Church, NOT to the MOSAIC LAW." Catholic Catechism, Signs of the Times, Nov. 4, 1919.

YES, BRETHREN, WE NEED TO MAKE SURE OUR "HABITS AND PRACTICES" ARE THE SAME AS THE LORD'S, NOT THE POPE'S!

"For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore, LET US KEEP THE FEAST..." 1 Cor. 5:7, 8. (Read Lev. 23:1-7)

"At Philippi PAUL TARRIED TO KEEP THE PASSOVER." Acts of the Apostles, p. 390.

"BEHOLD THE MAN WHOSE NAME IS THE BRANCH...and he shall build (revive and reform) the temple (wise virgins) of the Lord." Zech. 6:12.
